Elementary Teacher

• By Teaching K-12 English, Language Arts and Creative Writing through the creation of Hip-Hop based curriculum, implementing lesson plans, and recording students work, student’s scores improved by two reading levels                                           

•  Student reading levels were below grade level; interpreting stories at various reading levels and guiding rewriting in different creative ways, i.e. comic strips, short stories, one-act scenes, and rap songs; achieved higher reading scores.

• Student referrals were high; by implementing and coaching Jr. Lego League Robotics program, students developed scripts, created coded Legos, and improved school culture/behavior.

• By assisting students in producing and editing work that highlighted their talents and allowed them to explore their dreams by assigning them stories and scripts to practice video editing and production, students excelled in technical skills.
